Eva Rainsborough was born in 1966 as the fourth child of a family of musicians. She grew up in a rural area near Braunschweig / Germany.

After moving to Hamburg in the seventies she met her first trainer Jobst von Sydow (or discoverer as she still likes to call him today). Jobst von Sydow allowed Eva to ride hunts at the young age of twelve with the "Hamburg Schleppjagdverein". Prior to the hunts, she was only riding ponies or instructing Arabian horses at a small barn.

In the early eighties she met Dolf Dietram Keller who would be the most influential in her oncoming career.

After finishing school in 1985, she first worked in Lauenburg with Dolf Keller. There she met her husband Dr. David Rainsborough who is now a dentist in Hohnstorf / Elbe. One year later they moved into the barn in Hohnstorf / Elbe, which is still the center of Eva's daily work. Through Dolf Keller Eva met Burkhardt Wahler, the owner of >Klosterhof Medingen<. She continued her training with Dolf Keller and was riding S-dressage successfully. In addition, she rode in the elite-auctions with the Trakehner Verband in Medingen and competed in Pony-Stallion-tests where she won with the prize-winning stallion >"Mambo Moscan"<.

In 1992 Eva and David married and Eva gave birth to their son, Jeffrey. Instead of taking time off, Eva was back on the horse very soon. Since then the barn has grown to become a well-sized and pleasant business with 27 horses. Eva's daily business nowadays consists of teaching children and adults in horse-riding.

Eva has had a great deal of successes up to Intermediar II class. She also attends renowned clinics like the ones held by Georg Wahl and Christine Stückelberger in Switzerland. Georg Wahl has also held clinics for prominent dressage riders from northern Germany at Eva's barn. Her ideal height lets her ride horses and ponies as small as 12hh. For example, Eva rode the prize-winning Pony Stallion "Night Cup" successfully up to M-dressage.

Eva trains horses from several places in Germany and USA. She also owns many talented young horses which she trains and breeds herself. She has trained horses up to the Grand Prix level.
